Wouldn't it be nice if someone in
the community made matching
people and pet Halloween
costumes?

Seymour could use a dog park. The benefits
for the community, dog owners, and dogs
would be endless. With current leash laws,
some dog owners are not able to provide
enough exercise for their dogs. Studies
have shown that dogs who receive
sufficient exercise, are less aggressive. It
would also be a place where dogs and
owners could socialize. Proper socialization
is an important part of having a pet. With
approximately 63% of all households having
pets, I am sure a dog park would be well
utilized in Seymour. For more information
about the benefits of dog parks please look
at the following sites,

I'd like to see a dog park too. Also,
why don't we have a nearby pet
cemetery?

I would like to make contact with
others in the area who have
weimaraner. If you do, please post
a notice here.

I just heard that during the flood in
June they had a place to stay for
free so that pets and their families
could stay together. If that's true,
why didn't they let anyone know
about it ?!? My family evacuated
and ended up having to pay for a
motel room.

*Webmaster's Note: Don't know if she does people
costumes but the following person has had a booth at
Seymour's Oktoberfest selling dog costume
accessories and says she welcomes business from
people in the area: Audri Tarr of Bow(WoW) Tique (her
business). P.O. Box 87641, Carol Stream, IL  60188
(708) 380-4563. She says does weddings, costumes and
coats.
Check out the following web address.
It's a No-Kill ranch-like home for
animals. In other words, they never put
an animal to sleep if it isn't adopted.
They have Dogtown, Cat World, Horse
Haven, Piggy Paradise, Bunny House,
etc. We ought to have something like
that here in Indiana.
